Do's & Don'ts Of Bedding Care
DO give your new sleep set time to "air" upon removal from its plastic packaging. Dispose of all plastic packaging as soon as possible.
DO carry your mattress from place to place in its disassembled subcomponents. It's easier to handle and less likely to damage the mattress. Then reassemble for use once you have reached the final destination.
DO keep your bedding clean. We suggest using a mattress pad, especially if children use the bed. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are prone to night sweats or you perspire abnormally while sleeping, it is recommended that you use a minimum of one mattress pad that has a moisture barrier to protect the memory foam portion of the foam from getting any perspiration in it at all. If you need a cover with the moisture barrier, contact the retailer or us, we have the BEST. Perspiration is one of the most damaging things for memory foam! If your Mattress becomes exposed to perspiration repeatedly this will void the warranty. Even though it is designed to reduce night sweats from the unique air channeling please use good judgment to ensure the longevity of the Mattress.
DO replace the foundation when purchasing a new mattress. Old foundations may not provide adequate support. If your new mattress is sagging with an old foundation, it may appear that your new mattress is sagging when it is really the foundation, which supports the entire mattress.
DO use an appropriate frame. Using a support frame will validate your warranty. A frame with center support for queen and king size sets is the appropriate frame.
DON'T PLACE NEAR OPEN FLAME OR EXPOSE TO FIRE. THIS MATTRESS IS NOT FLAME- OR FIREPROOF AND CAN IGNITE AND/OR BURN IF EXPOSED TO OPEN FLAME OR FIRE. WHEN IGNITED, SOME BEDDING MATERIALS CAN BURN RAPIDLY AND EMIT SMOKE AND HAZARDOUS GASES.
DON'T smoke in bed. This mattress is manufactured as required by federal law to resist, but not necessarily eliminate, ignition by smoldering cigarettes.
DON'T carry mattress using just the terry cloth cover as support. This may rip the cover.
DON'T allow anyone jump, stand or bounce on your mattress. It is not constructed for this kind of weight concentration.
DON'T let your mattress get wet. * Protect it from water or other liquids
DON'T use dry cleaning fluid or any type on your mattress. These chemicals will damage some of the construction materials.
DON'T attempt remove the law tag or identification labels at the end of your mattress. This serves as a means of identification to establish your warranty rights.
*Avoid getting mattress wet. If need be it can be cleaned, by using water and mild detergent (soap). Must be rinsed well enough to get the soap out completely. Squeeze excess moisture out by rolling and compressing material. Preferred drying method is on a well-ventilated surface in a non-humid (dry) environment. E.g. Surface of trampoline would work very well for drying. Do NOT let mattress sit in direct sunlight for more then 24 hours outside. Anymore then two days in the direct sunlight will void this warranty.
